During Christmas Season people here name 'Santa' way more than they hear 'Jesus'. However, the story of Christmas is the story of Jesus.

Look up ans see...

It this time of the year...Thanksgiving. Few of my friends decide to through in a dinner for those who cannot go home. We had a nice crowd. Interestingly enough, many of people who came have friends in town. It was nice of them to come in and spend some time with us.We even 'Skyped' with two other friends.

Recently my second short story was published. It's called Rendezvous http://twistedendings.webs.com/ pp 14-15. The magazine provides an amazing opportunity to enjoy amazing short stories for free. The editor also publishes few other magazines. The topics are clean; no violence, explicit or sexual content. It also great opportunity to get published. We all can do so much more if we let go of the notion 'you cannot do it'; if you that writing i your passion and calling go for it. It's better to try and fail than keep wondering for the rest of the life what if. You can do so much if you set to accomplish things. Miracles do happen. You have to believe and set your goals. If God is with us who ca be against us. Trust me God will lead you to your calling. Trust him. He knows what's the best for us.

Lessons from Hobbit

Few days ago I had a chance to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Peter Jackson did an amazing job as always: the actors, the music, the scenery, the costumes, the decorations, the special effects, the plot line  -- everything deserve a standing ovation. Nevertheless, the movie teaches us some very important life lessons. Besides the importance of friendship, I learned 12 other lessons

Where is your treasure?

 We all have treasures -- whether we realize it or not. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, treasure is: something valuable(jewels, gold, gems etc)  that is hidden or kept in a secret place; something that is very important, special; a person that is valued greatly or loved especially for being very helpful; keep careful a precious or extremely valuable items. Treasures also have another property -- to occupy your heart. In fact they occupy our hearts so much that we carefully chose their place. And when something happens to the treasures, we get distressed.

Blessings&Burdens

Well, let's put aside Internet addiction and focus on blessings, shall we?!
I have been blessed so much! I've met so many amazing people and made new friends! When you haven't seen your mom for four years and the rest of your family since you were 18 (I'm 24 now), you can get discouraged very easy! The voice of temptation says that you should take some time off and stop going to church.
