Sin Set

Today is the age of technology. We have too much information. The Internet feeds us the majority of the information. Through the Internet, we come across many articles, including blog posts. We can find many different kinds of blogs. Among those blog-writers are those who classify their blogs according to their faith and beliefs.

Unfortunately, not all writers whose blogs bear 'Christian' titles belong to the Lord. Jesus warned us about false prophets. 

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves" (Matthew 7:15)

False prophets bring the teaching that may look like a sound Gospel but upon sound examination it is detrimental. We have encountered many of them already. I am not going to talk about false prophets. I have come across many bloggers whose doctrine is in accordance with Jesus' teachings. However, the majority of their writings are focused on God's love and on our importance.
If I didn't know the Bible I would have thought that Heaven is focused around us. I firmly believe in John:3;16. "For God so love the World that He gave His only Son,  so whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have an everlasting life".
Some of those authors have their own ministries. When they mention sin -- if they mention sin at all -- briefly: as if it's some minor inconvenience. You'll find plenty of writings on how the Lord loves you just the way you are. Their articles have no indication to fight our flesh and our sin. I have also seen multiple "Christian" articles on how God wants you to be successful, rich, healthy, and have a great life.
Jesus had one of the hardest lives possible. Moving from place to place, not having a regular income, without a place to stay, and yet to He was the Messiah. If we want to be more like Jesus we need to stop holding on to our earthly things and look unto Him.

Dangers of Sin 

We often neglect to examine our hearts. Our sins go unchecked. We live in a fast-paced world where we pay much attention to outward appearance, but our hearts left unattended. If we let sin roam our souls, it will take over.
King David was a man after God's own heart, yet he committed a grievous sin that Killed many: Uriah, David's child, and many soldiers. The sin didn't start on the rooftop. It started with pride. Women sang about David's victory and exalted his victory over Saul's. This nurtured his pride.
The same thing can happen to us. Small things that many will dismiss will eventually destroy us.
